FGM & protection from early marriage
Union of Change stands firmly against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and early marriage — practices that continue to rob girls in our communities, particularly within rural Maasai land in Kajiado and Narok, of their education, childhood, and right to choose their own futures. We work hand in hand with local leaders, families, and rescue networks to identify and protect girls at risk, connect rescued girls to continued education and mentorship, and run community sensitization and sexual health education sessions that engage both young people and the elders and gatekeepers who shape these traditions. For us, every girl protected is a future doctor, teacher, or leader made possible.
